Empowering Uganda‘s Research and Innovation Ecosystem

Technomart is a dynamic online platform created to optimise Uganda's R&D goods, human capital, and research infrastructure while promoting a thriving innovation ecosystem. By offering three interrelated services, Technomart responds to the increasing demand for improved productivity and cooperation in the field of research, development and innovation:

1

Research Equipment Data Service

This centralised platform simplifies the discovery and access to research equipment and infrastructure across Uganda. By connecting institutions and researchers, we enhance discoverability, promote resource sharing, and improve transparency in research asset management. This leads to better planning and investment decisions and ultimately drives innovation and impactful research.

2

STI Professionals Database

Technomart hosts a comprehensive directory of Ugandan professionals in science, technology, and innovation. This resource facilitates networking, knowledge sharing, and collaboration among experts across various disciplines. We aim to connect researchers, promote capacity building, and strengthen Uganda's Science, Technology, and Innovation (STI) community.

3

Uganda Innovations Marketplace

This dynamic gateway connects Uganda's brightest minds – researchers, scientists, and innovators – with the industries and investors poised to bring their discoveries to life. We showcase groundbreaking research results and innovations with social, commercial, and economic potential, creating a "supermarket for innovation." Whether you're exploring new technologies, seeking investment opportunities, or looking for partners to commercialise your innovation, the Innovations Marketplace is your connection to Uganda's vibrant innovation landscape.

Technomart, through strategic collaborations, centralises access to Uganda's research equipment, human capital, and commercial-ready research. This directly supports the National Development Plan's focus on strengthening R&D capacity and driving socio-economic transformation through innovation and industry partnerships. We optimise research infrastructure, foster collaboration, and connect innovators with opportunities to drive economic growth, environmental sustainability, and positive social impact
