Technomart is an online platform developed by the Uganda National Council for Science and Technology (UNCST). It serves as a central hub for accessing and sharing information on research equipment, experts (professionals), innovations, and technological challenges in Uganda. The platform aims to foster collaboration, enhance resource visibility, and support the advancement of science, technology, and innovation in the country.

Technomart is designed for:

• Researchers & Scientists: To access equipment, datasets, and expertise for their projects and potential investors for research outputs with social and commercial potential.
• Institutions (Universities, Labs, R&D Centers): To share research equipment and collaborate.
• Innovators and Entrepreneurs: Exploring technological challenges, innovations, and opportunities for commercialisation.
• Investors (VCs, Angels, Impact Funds): To discover high-potential startups, technologies, and investment opportunities in Uganda's innovation ecosystem.
• Policymakers and funders: Identify gaps, monitor impact, and align support for research and technology development.

You can search for equipment, experts, or innovations using the search bar on the homepage. Alternatively, visit the Component tab (e.g. Innovation tab) to browse a specific dataset on the Technomart.

Sharing your institution's research equipment data is simple:

1. Visit the Login tab and follow the prompts to upload your dataset.
2. Ensure your data meets the platform's requirements (contact help@technomartuganda.com for guidance).
3. Submit your dataset for review and publication.

Our team is available to provide technical support throughout the process.

By sharing your data on Technomart, you:

• Increase the visibility of your institution's resources.
• Foster collaboration with other researchers and institutions.

If your institution is already contributing data, visit the different Technomart modules to:

• Check the status of your data published.
• Review the quality of your published dataset.
• Update or modify your dataset as needed.

Data on Technomart is consistently updated by contributing institutions. The platform also performs regular data quality checks to ensure accuracy and relevance. Institutions are encouraged to maintain their datasets up to date.
